A Psalm

I see:

When life is beauty in the sunshine,
    Your love endures forever.
When friends show kindness with a smile,
    Your love endures forever.
And when the blessings keep on flowing,
    Your love endures forever.

The broken hearted find a healer,
    In Him Who loves forever.
The lowly sinner sees forgiveness,
    And knows He loves forever.
The prisoner that is set free,
    Will know an ever-freeing Lord.

I ask:

Will love endure forever,
When I am ugly in the shadows?
Will love keep chasing me forever,
When I betray those that love me most?
And when I deny the one that needs me,
Will love still hold me fast?

When I break hearts that now need healing,
Does love still keep me close?
When sin becomes my daily chore,
Can forgiveness be my daily bread?
When I seek the chains that take my freedom,
Does love not leave me in my cage?

I learn:

When life is ugly in the shadows,
    Your love endures forever.
When I betray who love me most,
    Your love endures forever.
When I deny the love that loves me,
    Your love endures forever.

I want my love to grow enduring.
I want my love to love You more.
I want to want to love forever.
I want it not to be a chore.
