Walking through the streets of a small suburb after 23.00h had me notice something.
I could hear the wind in the trees.
It had been years since I last consciously heard that.
This is my mother’s town.
This is my brother’s town.
The peace and silence at night here is as big as the sky.
The wind is so present I could easily walk on it.
Up and upper.
I guess my footsteps would fade away as I am walking on the wind.
Even less sound, more silence.
Is silence like darkness?
They say darkness doesn’t exist on its own, it is the absence of light.
Is silence the absence of sound?
It feels opposite.
Sound should be the absence of silence.
The only reason being that silence fits light better than darkness.
It is refreshing for my mind to be here.
Where I live, there is a constant absence of silence.
Airplanes, traffic, sirens, trains, etc…
Not that I notice it all the time.
I mostly don’t.
Is the absence of certain friends called loneliness?
Is the absence of romance called dullness?
Is the absence of music called anything at all?
Cool! Vooral de foto van mijn interieur is erg mooi 🙂

Ik denk wel dat je theorie over geluid interessant is. Ik denk inderdaad dat geluid niet bestaat. Dat het gewoon een gebrek aan stilte is 🤫
